 Did you know - 

Originally named “Midway”, Midland, Texas has been the historical way-station for travel and trade between Dallas and El Paso. This feature became definitive when the Texas-Pacific Railroad was built across Texas. The original drivers of the local economy were cattle and agriculture (primarily cotton farming). FEBRUARY 13 UPDATE: The final copy of the program schedule is available here.  Limited copies of the program will be available for purchase at the meeting (if you pre-purchased one, a copy is reserved for you).

JANUARY 22 UPDATE: The size for the posters has been determined.  Please make your posters to match a 36 inches by 48 inches (portrait mode, taller than wide).

JANUARY 2 UPDATE: The registration form has gone live!  You can link to it here.  Please review the costs and deadlines for registration below.  As we have new website software, the registration form has been updated someone.  If you notice any glitched or problems, or have any difficult registers, please contact Chris Vitek ([email protected]) and he will be happy to work with you to resolve the issue.  Remember, each individual presenting or applying for a research award must be registered, and you must be an active member to register.  If you don't have access to the registration form, please check your membership!  You must be a member to register, so you can join or renew your membership here.

NOVEMBER 30 UPDATE: Details about the 2018 research awards have been posted.  Please review this page to get details on how to submit a proposal, as well as the criteria used to just them!

NOVEMBER 12  UPDATE: Registration details are ready to be provided.  Registration will open on January 1, 2018.  You must be a member to register, and you must register if you are presenting (a poster or a talk).  All membership expires on December 31, 2017 (there is no pro-rating of membership).  If you are joining the Academy solely to attend the meeting, you should join on January 1, 2018.  Guests cost $50 per guest (which also increases after the registration deadlines).

Hotel information has also been posted and can be accessed here.  Three hotels have agreed to reserve rooms for TAS at a rate of $99 per night.
